Pastoral Staff

Rev. G.A. and Debbie Parrish

Senior Pastor

My name is Gordon Parrish. I first came to Fairbanks, Alaska in 1969 while serving in the Military. My ministry began in 1973, and, for the past forty-seven years I have had the privilege of serving as pastor in the Fairbanks and Delta Jct. areas.

I am fortunate and thankful that I feel a divine direction in my life. This “Calling” has guided my ministry in helping others find their place in the Lord’s great Church. I personally believe that each person was created with certain gifts and as we find and discover those gifts, doors of ministry open.

It is my desire that everyone who comes to the Sanctuary develops their own deep personal relationship with God. The Sanctuary is a wonderful place for anyone who desires to draw closer and worship the one true God. There is an incredible staff here that come from all walks of life ready to pray with you and help mentor you in developing your own personal walk with God.

The Sanctuary is truly a wonderful place for all to come and worship. Many who come through the doors and stay have personal testimony of how God has worked in their life, providing when there was no way, healing, deliverance, and much more. I am so Thankful and Blessed to have been and continue to be a part of what God is doing at the Sanctuary of Fairbanks.

As a pastor I would love the opportunity to help you connect with the Lord and find your special place in His great Kingdom. Please give us a visit – I know you will be blessed.

Thank you for allowing us to be part of your life!

Rev. John and Johnnie Dartt

Bible Teacher

Along with my wife Johnnie, I have been a part of the Sanctuary since 1996.  I love the people of this community and especially the congregation here at 907 23rd Ave.  Over the years we have served as Youth Pastors, Life Group leaders, Facilities lead and am now serving in my favorite role…a teacher of God’s word.

As a teacher of the Bible, my aim is to draw, win, establish, and equip people for the service of God’s calling.  Through the teaching of the scriptures and diligent application I believe that everyone can mature in their relationship with Christ.

Paul declared that we should be no more children spiritually, but should all grow up into Christ which is the head of all things.  Eph. 4:14

Some Biblical truths can be gleaned from the surface of Scripture, while others must be searched for.  We are all instructed to study God’s word to show ourselves approved of God…and my passion is to help God’s people understand how God’s word specifically applies to their own lives.

The Sanctuary is a family.  Our sincere desire is that you too will find a place of hope, refuge, and restoration in God’s house.  We look forward to meeting you as well as helping you find your unique place in God’s Kingdom.

“It was [Christ] who gave some to be … pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all…become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”
– Eph. 4:11-13
